Kyle McRae is the primary client contact and initial estimator for all Recon Reconstruction projects. When damage occurs and a homeowner calls, Kyle is typically the first voice they hear and the person who walks them through what comes next.
His role at the front end of every project -- assessing damage, developing project scopes, and communicating with insurance adjusters -- is built on years of direct construction experience and a deep familiarity with the insurance restoration process specific to Clanton and Central Alabama. Kyle understands what adjusters need to see, how to document damage accurately, and how to advocate for a scope that reflects what a home actually requires.
Kyle also leads McRae Cabinet and Design, a sister company specializing in custom cabinetry and design for kitchens and bathrooms throughout Central Alabama. That dual background gives him expertise in both the structural and finish aspects of major renovation and reconstruction projects that most general contractors in this market do not have.
Braden McRae graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Construction Science and built his early career working in commercial new construction before joining the company.
His background includes managing large-scale commercial projects with a focus on coordination, scheduling, and field execution.
Today, Braden serves as a Project Manager, overseeing construction operations, managing timelines, coordinating subcontractors, and helping ensure projects are completed to the standards clients expect.
His commercial construction experience brings structure, organization, and attention to detail to every project from start to finish.

Alex Price manages construction execution for every Recon Reconstruction project.
From trade scheduling and subcontractor coordination to quality control and final inspections, Alex is responsible for ensuring that what is built in the field matches what was committed to in the scope.
His hands-on involvement in active construction projects is a direct expression of the accountability standard that defines how Recon Reconstruction operates.
Projects are not delegated to a site supervisor and forgotten. Alex is present, accountable, and available on every project the company takes on.
Alex's construction background spans residential restoration, remodeling, and new construction throughout Chilton County and Central Alabama.
That breadth of experience means he brings the same quality standard to a bathroom tile installation that he brings to a full structural reconstruction following a fire loss.
Vince Fulmer brings more than 35 years of hands-on construction and roofing experience to the Recon Reconstruction team. Few people on a job site have seen as much, built as much, or solved as many real-world problems in the field as Vince has over the course of his career.
Before joining Recon Reconstruction, he owned and operated Fulmer Construction and Mallard Roofing, two companies he built from the ground up. Running his own businesses gave him a reputation for quality workmanship and dependable project execution across Central Alabama, along with a complete understanding of what it takes to deliver a finished project a homeowner can trust.
Today, Vince serves as a Superintendent, overseeing day-to-day operations on the job site. He makes sure projects stay on schedule, materials are where they need to be when crews need them, and the work in the field is moving efficiently. When a job is running well on the ground, Vince is usually the reason why.
His decades of experience give him a practical, problem-solving approach that keeps projects moving smoothly from start to finish. Vince has seen nearly every situation a construction or restoration project can present, and that depth of knowledge means challenges get handled before they ever become delays.
Chase Barber keeps Recon Reconstruction projects organized and moving from start to finish. As Assistant Project Manager, he works alongside Braden and Alex to oversee multiple active construction projects while supporting the day-to-day office operations that keep every job on track.
His role centers on project administration and coordination. Chase manages the company's job management software, prepares and sends contracts, and maintains steady communication with clients and subcontractors throughout each project. He is the person making sure timelines, paperwork, and details stay aligned so nothing slips between the field and the office. When a project is running smoothly behind the scenes, that is the part of the job Chase is responsible for.
Before joining Recon Reconstruction, Chase worked as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, a role built on organization, accountability, and managing complex schedules across large groups of people. That background translates directly to construction project management, where keeping subcontractors, timelines, and client expectations coordinated requires the same discipline and attention to detail. Chase brings a systems-driven approach to every project, making sure the administrative side of construction runs as cleanly as the work happening on site.
That premise came from understanding the gap that exists in most residential construction markets.
Homeowners facing an insurance restoration project are managing one of the most stressful events of their lives — dealing with damage to the place their family lives while simultaneously navigating an insurance process they have never been through before.
Most contractors in this situation do one job. They build. The insurance navigation is left for the homeowner to figure out alone.
Recon Reconstruction was built to close that gap. We handle the insurance claim — documentation, adjuster communication, supplement management — and we handle the construction.
Homeowners work with one company from first call through move-back-in. That is not how most contractors in Central Alabama operate. It is how we have operated since the beginning.
Over 27 years, that approach has built the reputation that now brings most of our new work through referrals from past clients, insurance professionals who trust us to handle their policyholders’ claims properly, and neighbors throughout Clanton and Chilton County who have seen our work on homes in their community.
We are based at 816 Center Avenue in Clanton. We are not a regional franchise. We are not a company routing crews from outside the market.
We are a locally owned business whose reputation is built entirely on the quality of the work we deliver to our neighbors.
Recon Reconstruction manages a comprehensive scope of residential construction services throughout Clanton and Central Alabama.
Every service is managed by our licensed team under one contract and one point of accountability.
